Hi, I used for my master thesis in Media and Knowledge Engineering at Delft Technical University the package JUNG for a framework that enables the users to create artificial, visual, iconic languages. The framework exists out of two parts, a kind of Instant Messenger for icons and a kind of WordNet? for icons.

The code can be found at my homepage VilAug project. It does contain many extensions upon the JUNG package:

• Mutations initiated by the user in editing plugins, are received by mutations listeners and executed by the appropriate objects.
• GraphML? IO (especially input) is adapted, so that the specification with GraphML? Attributes (like <data>bla bla</data>) can be read.
